In memory of Gary Tingwald

someone we've lost to ALS

Virginia

He kept his sense of humor and his spirit until his last breath.

Gary and I were married 50 years when he passed away. We have 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren from age 8 to 23! Gary was a minister. He loved and served God. He was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS in 2012 and passed away in 2018. He kept his sense of humor and his spirit until his last breath.

I love and miss him terribly but am moving on as he would want. I have written three books since he passed away. One on our family’s experience with ALS and one was my personal story of how I overcame my grief. My latest book is still being published and it is a devotional with lots of personal stories. Writing has been my saving grace. So ladies, never give up – keep on keeping on because the best is yet to come!
