The Luckiest Man: Jonathan Eig talks Lou Gehrig

Join the I AM ALS Lou Gehrig Day Team on May 1, 2024 at 7pm as they kick off ALS Awareness Month by hosting a virtual book talk with Jonathan Eig (https://www.jonathaneig.com), renowned journalist and biographer about his book Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig.

Since writing his book, Jonathan has served as the official spokesman for the Les Turner ALS Foundation in Chicago and spoken to help raise funds for the national ALS Association and many local chapters. He has spoken about ALS everywhere from Yankee Stadium to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and has written about ALS for publications including The Wall Street Journal. He also serves on the committee that selects the annual Lou Gehrig Memorial Award.

The event will take place on May 1, 2024 at 7pm. We can’t think of a better way to get everyone energized and excited as we prepare for the fourth annual MLB Lou Gehrig Day on June 2nd!

This event is free, virtual, and open to the public so sign up now and share this far and wide with ALS advocates and baseball fans everywhere.
