I was terrified to talk about due to the amount of people in my family it has affected. Since being diagnosed I come to realize that’s there is a need to bring awareness and to help researchers to raise money to help find a cure.

Hello,
My name is Scotty Easter, I fell in love with baseball as a young child, I guess besides playing baseball in my youth my highlight in baseball was in 1997 when my dad took me to my first MLB game and watch the Braves beat the Yankees at home. Now fast forward to today now 36 and currently living in the early stages of familial ALS. I had done a report in school on Lou Gehrig because he had battled the same disease many of my family had, which up to this point there has been roughly 15 to 20 members of family that have battled and are currently battling Familial ALS. ALS for many years was something I was terrified to talk about due to the amount of people in my family it has affected. Since being diagnosed I come to realize that’s there is a need to bring awareness and to help researchers to raise money to help find a cure. Just wanted to say thank you to the MLB and the I am ALS foundation for bring awareness to this disease.

Thank you
