In memory of Kevin Starr

someone we've lost to ALS

California

Such a great person with so much life left to live!

My brother, Kevin Starr, was very active and healthy working as a park ranger at a lake/recreation center near us. He also played, competed in, and taught disc golf all over California. In July of 2022, he fell at work and quickly had difficulty walking. He also started having trouble talking. He went to several doctors and endured many tests before being diagnosed with ALS in October. He entered an ALS trial at USC, but was only able to go once as he declined so quickly. He decided against a feeding tube as eating and drinking became more difficult. We honored his wishes as he was very aware of where the disease was headed. He passed in March of 2023, just 6 months after being diagnosed. Such a great person with so much life left to live! Gone too soon, but never forgotten! Love you, Kev!💕
