Veterans Accessibility Advisory Committee Act

The Veterans Accessibility Advisory Committee Act of 2025 is a bill that seeks to improve accessibility at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for Veterans with disabilities.

The bill mandates the VA to create a 15-member advisory committee to address the accessibility of VA services, facilities, and benefits for individuals with disabilities. The committee’s main role would be to provide direct and regular advice to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs on how to improve accessibility. This includes evaluating and reporting on the VA’s compliance with federal disability laws and making recommendations for improvements. The advisory committee would also be required to produce reports on access barriers and progress in making services more accessible.

The legislation aims to give disabled veterans a permanent voice at the highest levels of the VA to ensure their needs are prioritized and the VA meets its obligations under federal accessibility laws.
